Soon to be launched - October 7th
Our first meeting will be in only a few weeks.
Just confirmed is Rev Frog Orr-Ewing, who will be preaching, with Bill Donoghue leading worship.
In the parable of the banquet the master sends his servant out into the street and says 'all is now ready'. This is where we are now at... the room is ready, the chairs counted, projector and sound system installed, a sense of expectation is building - to be able to worship God in freedom and hope, looking for him to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine.
The Inverernan will be hosting the New Wine leaders retreat, with Bill staying on to lead worship for a few days for Scottish chruch leaders seeking refreshment, encouragement and a a word from the Lord.

Bursting Into Song with a Joyful Heart
"You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you" Isaiah 55:12
Welcome again to the website for Inverernan Church. We are getting nearer to the launch of this new exciting venture in October, do consider praying for us, and coming along.
Sylvia L-J has had this verse written above the front door of Inverernan for many years, engraved into the glass above your head as you go in and out. What these words of God declare should still be at the heart of the calling of the church that meets there.
YOU - God has a plan and a purpose which is specific to us, and not just general. God doesn't say 'there will be going out in joy' but more clearly 'YOU - shall go out with Joy'.
JOY - a word of passion and enthusiasm for God. It is not the time or the place for luke-warm and half-hearted worship or belief in God. Zeal, and spiritual fervour are a commandment, and the secret to a healthy and happy, joyful life. The JOY of the Lord is our strength, so we look for joyful worship and fellowship.
GO OUT - A church exists for her non-members, and this church is determined to have the Highlands on her heart. We come together, and then we go out, effecting change in our community through the good news of Jesus Christ.
We expect God's power to go with us as we go out, and will pray for thesick, the lonely and the broken.
MOUNTAINS BURSTING INTO SONG - Hills are made for singing. But sometimes they need to 'burst' into song, as if they have been silent for too long, and need to clear their throats to recognise their Maker and Creator. Worship is the beginning and end of our existence, the goal of our being is to enjoy the presence of God forever. This is why gathering for worship will be a central feature of this congregation - open to all who want to give God glory and burst into song with the unleashed mountains of Scotland.
WORD
SO - over the first 6 to 9 months of the life of Inverernan Church we will be getting back to basics and rekindling a passion for our God in worship and through the Word. We want to be reminded and equipped to love Jesus with everything in us, and so will be looking at "loving God with our heart, mind, soul and strength and loving our neighbour as ourselves."
